A friend of mine used to have this saying, "I see who you are so clearly, that I cannot hear what you say." He was always observing folks. Some people would have bling and live in a hut. Others would come from well-to-do families and try to dress like they were as poor as the other young folks we grew up with. It didn't matter how anyone dressed. We could pretty much tell their status: present, past, and future by their behavior. What are you doing? What is it saying to others? Do you see me? Do you know the True you? Do you see the REAL me?
Falling in love can be scary, especially when it comes to falling in love with yourself. I'm not talking about in some sick and sadistic way. I'm talking about respecting yourself. Knowing your true identity is eye opening. To look at yourself in the mirror, and honestly accept yourself flaws and all can be liberating. Why rely on someone else to tell you who you should be? Take a closer look at yourself and you might like what you see.
